An Idea to Success

Charles Robert Darwin (1809-1882)
1817-1825 school, POOR SCHOLAR
1825-1827 medical school at Edinburgh, FLUNKED
1828-1831 'theology' at Cambridge, no interest - but, instead, studied science

Some words from Danial Denntt (1995) toward Darwin's Idea:
"If I were to give an award for the single best idea anyone ever had, I'd give it to Darwin, ahead of Newton and Eistein, and everyone else. In a single stroke, the idea of evolution by natural selection unifies the realm of life, meaning and purpose with the realms of space and time, cause and effect, mechanism and natural law. But it is not just a wonderful idea. It is a dangerous idea"
